UAZ vehicles may begin to be produced in Ghana

In October, Jospong from Ghana agreed to supply cars from the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant to the country

UAZ cars can begin to be produced in the capitals of Ghana and the first signs will roll off the assembly line in the African country in the first quarter of 2024. Lawrence Auku-Boateng, Chairman of the Ghana-Russian Business Development Council, told reporters about this.

Lawrence Auku-Boateng said:

I think this will happen in the first quarter of next year. UAZs will be made in Ghana… It will be in Accra. 

According to Auku-Boateng, the necessary protocols are now being agreed upon and signed, and premises and equipment for production are being prepared.

In July 2023 it was reported: 300 UAZ pickups will go to Ghana. The African country will begin producing components for Russian cars .
