Ubisoft Shows Gameplay Of Ancient Greek Adventure Immortals Fenyx Rising On Nintendo Switch

The launch of the action-adventure Immortals Fenyx Rising, formerly known as Gods & Monsters, is approaching. In preparation for the launch, the developers decided to show a trailer with the gameplay of this curious project on the Nintendo Switch hybrid platform.

Unfortunately, it seems that you can’t count on a resolution higher than 720p in this third-person action movie on Switch, even in stationary mode: at least on YouTube, the maximum available video resolution is the same (like the official screenshots on the Nintendo website ). Fortunately, the flamboyant cartoon style should make up for that.

Let’s remind: the game in a somewhat ironic style plays on various ancient Greek myths in a huge open world. The main character here is the winged demigod Phoenix (can be a woman or a man, with any color of skin, hair, and so on). He has to save the Greek gods from the curse of the powerful titan Typhon and his monsters, and at the same time learn the secrets of his own past.

A host of quests, puzzles, locations to explore, and enemies are promised, scattered across seven unique regions of the Golden Isle. The player will be able to move by land and air, overpowering various legendary creatures in battles, developing their skills and techniques, and getting more and more advanced equipment.

A feature of the game will be the narration from the perspective of the titan Prometheus chained to the rock and the lord of the gods Zeus. The two storytellers have different views of what is happening. In general, the game resembles a mixture of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with Assassin’s Creed, although the team was inspired by other games, including the Jak and Daxter and Banjo-Kazooie series.

Immortals Fenyx Rising will launch on December 3 this year on PC (Epic Games Store and Uplay), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Google Stadia streaming service.
