United Arab Emirates successfully launched its own mission to Mars

The United Arab Emirates spacecraft detached from the rocket about an hour after launch, and its solar panels are expected to be used to support a seven-month flight to Mars.

The launch was originally scheduled for July 14 but was postponed several times due to bad weather conditions at the take-off site.
