S80 Solar needs 7 to 14 hours of sunlight to fully charge
The Chinese company Jiangsu Snail Zhixing Technology announced the S80 Solar electric scooter at Eurobike 2023. The highlight of the vehicle was a solar battery that provides a theoretically unlimited range.
The scooter received a special design that solves the problem of lack of surface for the integration of solar panels. To do this, the A-pillar is made unusually wide, and a 630 mm solar panel is integrated into it to generate electricity.
The S80 Solar Scooter needs 7 to 14 hours of exposure to sunlight to fully charge. The solar panel provides power from 35W to 70W to charge the built-in battery.
Unlimited Range: S80 Solar Solar Electric Scooter Introduced
A full charge of the scooter lasts for 35 km, which is enough for most daily city trips. The 468 mAh battery is located inside the bottom and powers the 350W rear electric motor. The S80 Solar is capable of a top speed of 25 km/h. Other features include a GPS module, a digital dashboard for trip information, a headlight and a rear brake light, a weight of 40 kg, 10-inch wheels with 130 mm tires.
Electric scooter Jiangsu S80 Solar will soon be sold on the international market. The suggested price is $1400.
