Updated Linux-laptop Kubuntu Focus M2 received NVIDIA RTX 30-series graphics
An improved laptop computer Kubuntu Focus M2 with an operating system on the Linux kernel has been announced: the price of this laptop in the minimum configuration is $ 1345. The maximum configuration is more than $ 4500.
The laptop is made on an eight-core processor Core i7-10875H (2.3-5.1 GHz) Intel Comet Lake generation. Kubuntu 20.04 LTS is used as a software platform.
The new model is equipped with a discrete graphics accelerator NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 series. This could be, for example, a GeForce RTX 3080 adapter with 16 GB of memory.
It is possible to install two NVMe SSDs with a capacity of up to 2 TB each. The amount of DDR4-3200 RAM reaches 64 GB.
The laptop’s arsenal includes a Gigabit Ethernet network adapter, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless controllers, 2W stereo speakers, Thunderbolt 3, HDMI, and Mini DisplayPort 1.4 interfaces, three USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, a standard audio jack.
The display measures 15.6 inches diagonally. Applied panel format Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels) with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a brightness of 350 cd / m 2. The sRGB color space coverage is over 90%. The image can be displayed simultaneously on three external 4K displays.
