The Trump administration yesterday issued a decree banning American investment in Chinese firms that Washington claims are owned or controlled by the Chinese military.

The decree could affect some of China’s largest companies. It is designed to deter investment companies, pension funds and other US companies from buying and selling shares of 31 Chinese companies from a list previously determined by the Department of Defense. The list includes telecommunications equipment company Huawei, server manufacturer Inspur, and other high-tech companies. Completely it looks like this:
