Sadly, YouTube doesn’t support frame rates higher than 60, but the console is reportedly capable of doing so in these games. According to the latest report from Ars Technica, Gears 5 on the Xbox Series X runs perfectly at 120 fps, just like on modern high-end PCs – not a bad achievement (albeit at the cost of some graphic simplification).

Also during testing, the new console showed quiet operation for several hours under load, and the Gears 5 almost always produced an ideal 120fps (with a frame calculation for the prescribed 8.33ms). According to journalists, such a high frequency really makes the gameplay more enjoyable, responsive, and smoother.

Gears 5 and Gears Tactics are among the Xbox Series X-optimized games, along with several other notable titles like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Borderlands 3Forza Horizon 4Sea of Thieves, and many more. Gears 5 is available on PC and Xbox One, while Gears Tactics can only be launched on the first of the two platforms for now – on November 10, the tactics will be available on Xbox One, Series X, and S.
