Video: Monsters with Unique Attacks and Escaping the Time Loop in the Returnal Trailer
A new trailer for Returnal has appeared on the PlayStation Japan YouTube channel. It is narrated in English but has Japanese subtitles. The video focused on battles with many different enemies and a time loop in which the main character was stuck.
After a quick cut of shots, the audience is shown the wreck of the ship of the main character Selena on the planet Atropos. She soon discovers that she has become a hostage to a time loop. After each death, the girl returns to the moment of the accident and begins to re-explore the hostile world. It is being rebuilt after the death of the heroine, which should increase research interest.
The second half of the trailer shows battles with various monsters. Most of them have tentacles, growths, and strangely shaped bodies. Also, opponents can boast of unique attacks: one of them covers his hands with fire and hits close, the other shoots a powerful laser from the eye, and the third makes a volley of energy balls. To destroy them, Selena must maneuver and shoot accurately. New weapons in the project are obtained while exploring the world.
Returns will release on April 30, 2021, exclusively on PlayStation 5. The game went gold a week ago, so there won’t be a second transfer.
