Video: the developers of the pixel action Olija showed a cartoon trailer

Portal IGN in an exclusive manner presented another trailer for the upcoming action-adventure platforming Olija from studio Skeleton Crew and Devolver Digital publishing.

Unlike previous videos, the new one does not contain frames of the Olija gameplay – if the project itself is a representative of the pixel art direction, then the video is made in cartoon style.

The trailer is just over 40 seconds long and shows the plot of Olija: the shipwreck that brings the young Lord Faraday to Terrafagos, inhospitable locals, and the legendary harpoon.

During his adventures on Terrafagos, the protagonist will have to explore a world alien to him, rescue comrades in misfortune, and meet “interesting characters”, including the mysterious Oliya.

Recall that last week Devolver Digital and Skeleton Crew Studio also published a long (over 22 minutes) gameplay video and a two-minute story trailer for Olija.

Olija was supposed to be out before the end of 2020, but the release was postponed to January 28, 2021. On the appointed day, the game will go on sale for PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The Olija pre-order option is still not available on any of the target platforms, however, the Switch version of the project has recently appeared in the digital store Nintendo eShop –  $14.84.
