Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 skateboarder simulator came out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and S last week and seemed to work well on current-gen consoles. YouTube channel VG Tech has published a comparison of the game’s frame rate on competing platforms in two graphics modes.

As it became known, the difference between the versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X is minimal.

PS5 in sharp graphics mode (60 frames per second) uses dynamic resolution, but most of the time, it is played at 3840 × 2160 pixels (sometimes it drops to 3552 × 1998 pixels). On Xbox Series X in this graphics mode, the situation is almost the same, with the only difference that the measured minimum resolution is 3264×1836 pixels.

PS5 in performance mode (120 frames per second) applies dynamic resolution: most of the time, the game displays 2560 × 1440 pixels. The minimum measured resolution is 2112 × 1188 pixels. On Xbox Series X, the minimum resolution is 1920 × 1080, but most of the game is played at 2560 × 1440.

The definition mode also uses dynamic resolution on the Xbox Series S: from 1920 × 1080 to 2560 × 1440 pixels. However, in general, the game is played stably at 2560×1440 pixels. As for the performance mode, on the Xbox Series S, the project works mainly at 1600 × 900 pixels with rare drops to 1280 × 720 pixels.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is out on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X & S and Xbox One. A release on Nintendo Switch is also planned this year.
