YouTube channel author Digital Dreams continues to change the look of games through modifications. Previously, he added realism to GTA V and showed the beta version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance with ray-tracing effects. And in a fresh video, the blogger presented The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with more than fifty modifications. One of them added lighting to the game in the spirit of the first part of the series and improved weather.

In the video, Digital Dreams shows various locations so that users can fully appreciate the graphics changed with the help of mods. With this mod, The Witcher 3 looks more sinister and darker. This is especially noticeable when visiting locations with dense vegetation and swamps. This effect is achieved thanks to the fan project Vanilla Lighting and Weather 2.0 – it adds lighting to The Witcher 3 in the style of the first The Witcher, which is remembered for its gloom and improves weather effects. Strong winds and rain in the video add to the unwelcoming atmosphere.

To transform The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Digital Dreams also used a selection of mods called Apex Realistic Reshade. It enhances textures, shadows, vegetation, and many other project elements with minimal stylistic changes.

The blogger used the same modifications in his last video on “The Witcher 3”, but then Digital Dreams installed lighting throughout the game, as in the White Garden location. When comparing the two videos, you can see how lighting affects the overall mood of the project and the perception of graphics.
