VR Mode Testing Coming Soon in Microsoft Flight Simulator

Microsoft Corporation and studio Asobo announced the imminent start of testing VR functions in the flight simulator Microsoft Flight Simulator. The development team is asking the community to help check the upcoming builds of the game and not tell anyone about them.

The Closed Beta will take place in two phases to “focus on feedback and what we learn” The first phase will focus on Windows Mixed Reality devices. The second test will cover additional VR headsets.

“Although we would like to invite everyone, unfortunately, this will not happen,” said Asobo Studio. “ As with previous alpha and beta testing, we only allow a select group of testers. It is important to understand that subscribing to closed beta testing does not mean that you will get access

To sign up, you need a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator, a VR headset, and a PC with at least the following specifications:

  • OS: Windows 10 (1909);
  • processor: Intel Core i5-4460 3.4 GHz or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 3.4 GHz;
  • video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8 GB or similar in power;
  • RAM: 16 GB;
  • hard disk space: 150 GB;
  • internet connection: 5 Mbps.

Selected test-takers will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Read more about this on the official website of the game.
