NIU is a well-known brand in the USA, and in Europe, the new products will compete primarily with Xiaomi electric scooters.
The NIU company, which has become popular in the United States for its inexpensive $ 2,000 electric mopeds, decided to open up new horizons for itself. That was Europe, and the first NIU product in Europe was electric scooters. In terms of their characteristics and price, the devices are similar to Xiaomi electric scooters, with which NIU products will compete.

In fact, there is only one scooter – NIU Kick Scooter, but it has two versions – Pro and Sport. In the European specification, the speed is the same – 25 km / h, but the cruising range is slightly different: Pro – 50 km (it takes 7.5 hours to fully charge the battery in this case), Sport – 40 km (here it is already full charge for 5.5 hours).
The Pro model has a 350W electric motor and a 486Wh traction battery, while the Sport model uses a 300W motor and a 365Wh battery. Both models are water-resistant, foldable, equipped with energy recovery during braking, and support smartphone integration via Bluetooth. Cost – from 600 dollars, and sales in Europe should begin in July this year.
