But the watch will not have any shark sensors

Apple is actively developing its smartwatch. Yes, for six generations the design has changed only once, but the capabilities of the device have expanded significantly. In particular, the watch is “overgrown” with various sensors related to tracking human vital signs.

Will Apple Watch warn of sharks coming in the future? The new patent mentions such a feature

We already know about some of the innovations that will be implemented in the next generation, but today we’ll talk about what can be realized sometime later. This is hinted at by one of Apple’s latest smartwatch patents.

Among other things, one interesting feature is described there, which, apparently, most sources misinterpreted. Many thematic resources wrote that sensors can appear in the new Apple Watch that can detect the shark in the water, which would be very useful for surfers and just those who like to swim in those regions where sharks are found. However, if you find the patent itself, you can see that there the function is described differently.

Yes, there really is a mention of sharks, however, judging by the wording, we are not talking about sensors for their detection. It says that if the watch is connected to an external network, it can receive warnings about dangerous predators, such as sharks, in this area. That is, apparently, we are talking about the possibility of connecting to some database containing information about the nearest location of the tracked predators, if any.

It is also worth noting that the image above does not apply to the described function. The patent indicates that icon 118 displays the current sports activity.

In addition, the patent mentions the ability of a device to determine the level of acidity of a liquid in general and sweat in particular. These data can also be used to determine certain indicators of human health.
