Depends on benchmark and RTX 3060 version
The GeForce RTX 4060 will go on sale on June 29th and reviews will be published on June 28th. But for now, we can evaluate the capabilities of new items in 3DMark.
The card was tested immediately in different versions, so there is a certain sample. In addition, the benchmark results allow you to compare the upcoming new product with the RTX 3060.
Depending on the test, the RTX 4060 is faster than the RTX 3060 12GB by 16.6-32.7%, which is quite good, considering that the new product is also cheaper at launch. The RTX 3060 8GB model is already outperforming by 30.7-61.1%. On average, the RTX 4060 is 22.8% ahead in the first case and 47.9% ahead in the second case.
Will the GeForce RTX 4060 still be a good graphics card?
In some tests, this allows the RTX 4060 to catch up with the RTX 3060 Ti, but often the latter is faster.
Unfortunately, although 3DMark is not a synthetic test, you can’t just take this data and transfer it to games. In addition, the results are highly dependent on the specific test. But for now, one can hope that the RTX 4060 will still look better than the RTX 4060 Ti relative to its predecessor.
As for the comparison with the Radeon RX 7600, according to 3DMark, such a comparison will not be very correct, but in four tests it is faster than the RTX 4060, and in three tests the AMD card is ahead.
