The function is already being tested
Microsoft is working on a useful new feature for the Windows 10 operating system. It has already become available to members of the Windows 10 Insider test program.
Windows 10 will warn you which apps are slowing down your PC’s startup and performance
The system will warn the user if the application, on its own, sets up an automatic start when the PC is turned on. This will make it easier and faster to identify malicious applications, as well as better track which applications can slow down PC boot and operation by launching automatically and without the user’s knowledge.
However, the function has its limitations. According to Jennifer Gentleman, Senior Community Manager at Microsoft, the feature only warns about apps listed under Settings> Apps> Bootstrap.
She also clarified that applications configured to autorun using tools such as RunOnce, Services, or ScheduledTask are not covered by the new feature.
