Finishing up the new Edge, Microsoft had to take care of the competition.
With the launch of the new Edge browser on the Chromium engine, Microsoft had reasons to make Google Chrome work better on Windows 10.
Windows 10 wins from next update
Microsoft has already helped Google Chrome with battery consumption and a convenient way to move tabs to a new window. Edge developers have now improved the integration of Chrome with the Windows 10 Action Center (Notification Center).
At the moment, if you receive many notifications from one site and click on the notification, which is not the last in the notification center, then Chrome will not open the address specified in this notification. Instead, the main address of the site will be opened.
Chrome has many similar notification issues in Windows. However, apparently, Microsoft found a solution for them.
Edge developers have identified a common denominator of these problems. As a result, in the next major Windows 10 update, they will be fixed for both Edge and Chrome. Presumably, we are talking about the May 2020 Update.
