According to the available information, World of Tanks will reach Steam this year. We are not ready to announce more exact terms of release in Wargaming yet, but they promise to do it later.

According to the developers, World of Tanks was not created with an eye on multiple PC platforms, so you won’t be able to use your existing account to enter the Steam version – you have to open a new one.

At the first entry into World of Tanks, the system will identify the user to a particular game region. Subsequently, you can change your affiliation, but the progress achieved will be reset.

Wargaming promises that players will be able to interact with other “tankers” without any restrictions – add friends, join clans, fight shoulder to shoulder in a platoon.

To date, World of Tanks has 160 million registered users around the world, as well as more than 600 units of authentically reproduced equipment from the Second World War and the mid-20th century.

World of Tanks debuted on PC in August 2010, and since then has managed to appear on consoles: Xbox 360 (February 2014), Xbox One (July 2015), and PlayStation 4 (January 2016)…
