Xbox and Bethesda are hiding the existence of mobile DOOM
Microsoft and Bethesda Softworks are already expanding the DOOM franchise. Unfortunately or fortunately for fans, this isn’t about an update or addition to DOOM Eternal. It was revealed that the Alpha Dog studio is developing a mobile game Mighty DOOM.
Mighty DOOM is heavily inspired by the popular mobile game Archer. Gamers in the role of Mini-Executioner will be able to fight hundreds of opponents in numerous top-down arenas. Mighty DOOM can also be played with just one hand, making it ideal for casual mobile gaming.
Mighty DOOM has been in the Play Store for several months now, but it is tough to find it since it does not appear in search results. Besides, the publisher set a restriction on the game’s installation so that everyone could not download it. Bethesda Softworks and Alpha Dog have yet to announce an expansion of the Early Access program or even acknowledge the project’s existence.
Mighty DOOM may be another attempt by Microsoft to bring a high-budget franchise to mobile devices to increase its intellectual property’s popularity and profitability. Microsoft has previously tried to test its hand at mobile gaming. For example, it released the Forza Street racing game and the real-time tactics Gears Pop ! but failed on both occasions.
