Xiaomi buys part of ZMI’s battery, charger and cable company
This week, Xiaomi acquired a 27.44% stake in Zimi International Corp, giving them a pretty large amount of money and shares.
Xiaomi batteries and chargers have become more “branded”
It is worth noting that Zimi International Corp, often called ZMI, is one of the first companies financially supported by Xiaomi. It is part of the Xiaomi partner’s environmental chain and is engaged in the production of batteries, power supplies, and charging cables for smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other mobile devices.
Xiaomi bought more than a quarter of the company’s shares for a total of $ 102.84 million. Of these, $ 25.78 million will be paid in cash, and the rest with shares. Xiaomi will transfer 54,379,044 shares to Zimi International Corp.
Zimi International Corp was founded by the Vice President of Xiaomi Group, Zhang Feng.
