Xiaomi has unveiled the Mi Mix Fold, its first flexible display smartphone. Price – from € 1300
As expected, the Chinese company Xiaomi presented today its first smartphone equipped with a flexible display: the novelty, made in the form factor of a book, was called Mi Mix Fold.
The flexible AMOLED screen folds down to protect it from damage during daily wear. This panel measures 8.01 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 2480 x 1860 dots with a pixel density of 387 PPI (dots per inch). Declared support for Dolby Vision and HDR10 +, and the brightness reaches 600 cd / m 2 . Thus, when unfolded, the user receives a small tablet at his disposal. When folded in the front, there is an auxiliary external display with a diagonal of 6.52 inches. The resolution of this screen is 2520 × 840 pixels, the refresh rate is 90 Hz, and the brightness is 700 cd / m 2.
The smartphone is equipped with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, combining eight cores with a frequency of up to 2.84 GHz, the Adreno 660 graphics accelerator Snapdragon X60 5G modem.
The camera incorporates three components: a 108-megapixel main sensor, a unit with a 13-megapixel sensor, and ultra-wide-angle optics (123 degrees) 8-megapixel module with 3x optical and 30x digital zoom. An 8 million pixel block can be used for macro photography.
The new arsenal includes a high-quality Harman Kardon audio system with four speakers, a Wi-Fi 6 adapter, and a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 5020 mAh with support for fast charging power of 67 W. The Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold smartphone will be available in the following versions:
- 12 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 256 GB – € 1,300;
- 12 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 512 GB – € 1,430;
- 16 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 512 GB – € 1,700.
