Xiaomi has updated the Pocophone F1 to MIUI 12. This is most likely the latest major smartphone update

Pocophone F1, also known as POCO F1, is one of the most popular Android smartphones in recent years. Xiaomi introduced the device in 2018 with MIUI 9 firmware based on Android 8 Oreo. Later, the smartphone received updates to MIUI 10 and MIUI 11, based on Android 9 and 10, respectively. Now it’s MIUI 12.

Recall that MIUI 12 is currently the current version of Xiaomi’s proprietary shell, presented in April this year. Since then, the software has received many Xiaomi smartphones, and now the turn has come to the legendary Pocophone F1. Since POCO F1 is already two years old, the update for the smartphone was far from being the first place, but now it is available to users from all over the world.

The update with the build number V12.0.1.0.QEJMIXM is spreading in waves and in the coming days, everyone will be able to install it, if the first users do not encounter critical errors after installing it. It’s worth noting that MIUI 12 is likely to be the last major update for the Pocophone F1 as it won’t be officially compatible with Android 11.

The Pocophone F1 is built on the 2018 flagship Snapdragon 845 processor, which is complemented by 6GB of RAM and 64GB of flash storage. The device has a 6.18-inch IPS display with Full HD + resolution, as well as dual rear cameras and a 4000 mAh battery.
