Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite will be the world’s first Snapdragon 780G smartphone
Ahead of tomorrow’s announcement, the Chinese company Xiaomi has published a teaser of the mid-range smartphone Mi 11 Lite, which is expected to debut alongside the flagship model Mi 11 Ultra.
It is reported that the Mi 11 Lite will be the world’s first smartphone powered by the latest Snapdragon 780G processor, which Qualcomm announced just a few days ago. Thus, Xiaomi has denied rumors about the use of the Snapdragon 775G chip.
Recall that the Snapdragon 780G processor is the second 5nm product from Qualcomm after the flagship solution Snapdragon 888. The new chip contains eight processing cores with a clock speed of up to 2.4 GHz, an Adreno 642 graphics accelerator, and a Snapdragon X53 5G cellular modem.
According to available information, Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite will receive a 6.55-inch Full HD + display (2400 × 1080 pixels) with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The triple rear camera will include a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel unit with wide-angle optics, and a 5-megapixel sensor.
The teaser hints that the device will be made in a slim body – rumored to be only about 6 mm thick. Earlier it was reported about using a 4250 mAh battery with support for 33 W fast charging.
As noted above, the presentation of the new product will take place on Monday, March 29th. The smartphone will ship with the Android 11 operating system, complemented by the MIUI 12 proprietary add-on.
