Xiaomi tomorrow will present the successor to the Mi Watch Color with a blood oxygen level sensor

Xiaomi announced the Mi Watch Color smartwatch at the end of December 2019. The device is positioned as a simplified version of the basic Mi Watch. Now the company has promised to present an updated version of this watch on October 20.

Ahead of the launch of the updated Mi Watch Color, the official Xiaomi Smart Life Weibo account has published a teaser that sheds light on some of the device’s features. According to the image, the new smartwatch will retain the circular design of its predecessor and will acquire a SpO2 sensor to measure the level of oxygen in the user’s blood. Unfortunately, the original Mi Watch Color lacks this feature, despite the fact that it is present in more affordable devices.

It is worth noting that the first version of this watch has only recently entered the global market, so a new model with the ability to measure blood oxygen levels for users outside of China will have to wait a little longer.

As for other innovations, it is reported that the updated Mi Watch Color will receive support for more training modes, and will also boast a longer battery life. Other changes will be announced tomorrow.
