Xiaomi unveils its first 8K TV: 82 inches, OLED and price $ 7300

The Chinese company Xiaomi today announced the flagship smart TV – the Mi TV Lux Ultra model, equipped with an 82-inch ultra-high-definition organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display.

The novelty became the first Xiaomi TV in 8K format: the resolution is 7680 × 4320 pixels. The claimed 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. The peak brightness is 2000 cd / m 2 , the contrast – 1 400 000: 1. It talks about support for HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision, and the viewing angle reaches 178 degrees.

The silicon “heart” of the panel is a Novatek 72685 processor with four computing cores (duets Cortex A73 and Cortex A53) and a Mali G51 MP4 graphics accelerator. The volume of RAM is 4 GB, the capacity of the built-in flash drive is 256 GB.

The TV is equipped with 5G support, allowing you to download ultra-high-definition content over 5G cellular networks. There are adapters for wireless communication Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 / 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0, as well as an Ethernet controller for wired connection to a computer network.

The high-quality audio system with retractable side panels integrates eight components, including 2x10W tweeters, 2x10W mid-range speakers, and 2x20W woofers. Support for Dolby Atmos, DTS Audio, Dolby Audio has been implemented.

The set of connectors includes three HDMI 2.1 connectors, two USB ports, and an S / PDIF interface. The proprietary Patchwall software interface is used.

The Mi TV Lux Ultra TV will go on sale on October 21: it will be possible to purchase the new product for about $ 7,300.
