A new grammar checker has been added to the Microsoft Word text editor

Microsoft developers continue to improve their products, including the applications that are part of the proprietary office suite. This time it became known that a new grammar checking tool called Microsoft Editor has appeared in the Word text editor.

It’s worth noting that this feature has been available in the web version of Word for some time now. Now, a network source is talking about the appearance of Microsoft Editor in the desktop application Word for Windows 10. According to reports, the mentioned feature has now been rolled out to participants in the Microsoft pre-testing program.

The Microsoft Editor tool uses AI algorithms and machine learning to instantly identify common grammatical errors that users make when entering text in different applications such as Word or Outlook. After the distribution of Microsoft Editor to stable versions of Word, it will be easier for users to edit documents, since a more advanced algorithm is now responsible for finding grammatical errors.

The grammar checker can not only correct mistakes but also has other useful features. For example, it is able, based on the text written by the user, to suggest options for replacing parts of sentences to improve grammatical structures. If necessary, you can select a word and see options for replacing it with some synonym. Reported support for 20 different languages, including Russian.

Microsoft Editor is currently available to Insider Program members using the beta version of the text editor. It is not yet known when the new feature will appear in the stable version of Word.
