Microsoft has released an updated Microsoft Edge browser on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S. Chromium replaces the outdated EdgeHTML browser. It is only available to users who participate in the alpha testing of updates for the Xbox.

On the PC, the browser underwent a major overhaul last year. It seemed that Microsoft had forgotten about the browser on the Xbox. It did not receive major updates, and the usability level was average, to put it mildly.

Microsoft Edge on Chromium has significantly improved web compatibility and usability in most cases and has added new features not available in the legacy browser. Interestingly, this is, in fact, just a PC version of the application ported to the console. It even retains the update check function, and the interface mentions keyboard shortcuts for various actions, although there is currently no mouse and keyboard support in the browser.

It is also important to play on Xbox consoles using streaming services such as Google Stadia and xCloud.
