Ryzen 9 7945HX3D runs at 2.3-5.4GHz. The minimum is 200 MHz lower than the Ryzen 9 7945HX, but the maximum is the same 5.4 GHz. At the same time, the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D has twice as much L3 cache – 128 MB versus 64 MB for the Ryzen 9 7945HX. AMD claims that in games, a processor with a large cache is on average 15% faster than the Ryzen 9 7945HX.

Interestingly, despite the doubling of the cache size, the TDP level has not changed and is the same 55+ W (from 55 to 75 W) as the Ryzen 9 7945HX.

AMD has officially announced that the Ryzen 9 7945HX3D is a one-off laptop exclusive. This laptop is the Asus ROG Scar 17 X3D. In addition to the fastest mobile CPU, the laptop will receive a GeForce RTX 4090, so the price will be high. But which one – we’ll find out in a month: sales of Asus ROG Scar 17 X3D will start on August 22.
