Ryzen 9 5950X significantly improves performance compared to its predecessor

The SiSoftware benchmark website has published a detailed comparison of the 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor with its predecessor, the Ryzen 9 3950X, as well as competitors – the 10-core Intel Core i9-10900K and 14-core Core i9-10940X. All results are clearly presented in the graphs below.

AMD Ryzen 9 5950X smashed 10-core Intel Core i9-10900K and even beat 14-core Core i9-10940X in SiSoftware benchmarks

As you can see, the Ryzen 9 5950X is noticeably superior to its predecessor. For example, there is a 25% increase in performance in floating point calculations, and an increase in integer calculations by 13%.

But the Ryzen 9 5950X looks very good against the background of competitors. Overall, it beats both the 10-core Core i9-10900K and the 14-core Core i9-10940X in performance. A detailed comparison of all four processors in different scenarios is presented in the graphs below.

These results run counter to the UserBenchmark benchmark, where the Core i9-10900K unexpectedly beats the Ryzen 9 5950X . This once again proves that the tests are different between tests, and UserBenchmark should hardly be taken into account when comparing the performance of a long-sold and completely new CPU.
