And real products are also few

AMD is increasingly talking about the server segment than the gaming segment when it comes to GPUs. Nine months after the release of the Radeon RX 7900, only the other day the company told when to expect new card models, but now it is talking about Instinct MI400 accelerators, although the Instinct MI300 models have not yet really entered the market.

When you look at these workloads and the investments we are making, not only today but in the future with our next generation MI400 series etc. etc., we definitely believe that we have a very competitive and effective equipment roadmap. I think the discussion about AMD has honestly always been about the software roadmap and we do see little software changes here.

That is, AMD promises investors in advance, and this speech was intended for them, good products in the server segment, although their release is probably even more than a year away. So far, there are only early leaks regarding the fact that the new generation of Instinct accelerators may use new XSwitch interconnects.

Given the rumors that the Radeon RX 8000 line of graphics cards will not have top-end products at all , the very strange and slow launch of the RX 7000 line, and the generally huge hype around AI systems, it is possible that AMD may at least for a while concentrate much more efforts in this direction.
