Another assumption: PlayStation 5 will be released in mid-November, and Xbox Series X – at the beginning of the month

Microsoft previously announced that the next-gen Xbox Series X console will go on sale in November this year. Sony Interactive Entertainment has not yet disclosed a release date for the PlayStation 5, but according to VGC, the latter will be released in mid-November.

According to the published investigation by VGC, Microsoft plans to release the Xbox Series X in the first half of November, while the PlayStation 5 will debut a little later – in mid-November. The journalists came to this idea after analyzing several messages from sources among developers and in retail.

First off, VGC noted that Sony Interactive Entertainment has booked significant marketing spending for the seven-day period after November 13th. In addition, sources for the publication in Microsoft also suggest that the launch of the PlayStation 5 will take place during this weekly period.

Interestingly, information about the possible launch of the Xbox Series X on November 6 this year was leaked to the Network earlier. This information is consistent with the VGC investigation. Meanwhile, Sony Interactive Entertainment continues to list the PlayStation 5 launch window as “pre-Christmas 2020”, but the US has already opened an official registration page for pre-ordering the console.

The cost of the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 is still a mystery.
