Apple AirPods Max are in short supply despite exorbitant price – some orders will have to wait until March
The Apple AirPods Max wireless headphones announced this week are among the most expensive in their segment with a price of $ 549 (858.55 $ in Russia). However, judging by the delivery times to Apple’s online stores, they are selling like hotcakes. However, this can be explained by the limited stocks of AirPods Max due to the recent start of their production.
It currently takes 12-14 weeks for AirPods Max to ship in the US, no matter what color you choose. This means that users no longer have a chance to get them for Christmas. If ordered now, they will be delivered around March.
According to Mashable, the situation is slightly better in the UK, where most AirPods Max models ship on pre-order in three weeks. In Australia, shipping for most earbuds takes between five and six weeks. Only the AirPods Max in Silver is available in three weeks.
Oddly enough, AirPods Max ships much faster if you add engraving. This cuts delivery times for most models in the US to six to seven weeks. However, in the UK and Australia, this trick does not work.
It’s not entirely clear why the engraved AirPods Max earbuds ship faster, but it looks like Apple has allocated a number of devices for those who opt for the option.
