Apple already has 2 billion active devices worldwide

iPhone, iPad, Mac, iPod touch, Apple TV, Apple Watch and other branded gadgets are taken into account

As part of the report to investors, Apple also disclosed statistics on branded devices currently available in the world. 

Apple CEO Tim Cook said:

We reached a milestone during the December quarter and are pleased to announce that we now have over 2 billion active devices as part of our growing base.

Note that in January 2022, 1.8 billion active devices were announced worldwide. And the company reported its first billion in 2016. 

We are talking about active iPhone, iPad, Mac, iPod touch, Apple TV, Apple Watch and other branded devices that have been registered in the company’s services over the past 90 days.
