Architectural Advantages Will Accelerate AMD’s Growth in Server Segment
Experts admit that the strengthening of AMD’s position in the server processor market has so far been slower, but it will accelerate in the future. As noted by Seeking Alpha, Wells Fargo analysts predict AMD more active market share growth in the server segment in the coming periods, based on the results of their market research. While AMD’s market share growth has not been noticeable since the release of its Zen 2-generation Rome EPYC processors, the company can accelerate further by leveraging the architectural advantages of its processors.
It is difficult to say what the experts mean by this wording, but we are certainly talking about the layout and architectural features of the EPYC processors, which allow AMD to create a competitive product at a moderate cost. Wells Fargo’s CDNA accelerators, which are due to debut this month, are not discounting. At the current share price of $ 84.88, Wells Fargo analysts raise their forecast to $ 100 apiece.
