The specified new microcode version contains instructions to enable older motherboards to work with newer AMD chips. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not yet announced whether ASRock motherboards based on the AMD X470 chipset will receive support for the new processors. Nevertheless, we dare to assume that this will also happen in the foreseeable future. Please refer to the table below for the model names of ASRock AMD B450 motherboards and the required BIOS version to add support for Ryzen 5000 processors.

Recall that some other motherboard manufacturers have also confirmed that their products based on AMD 400 series logic will be able to work with the new Ryzen 5000 series processors. For example, in January next year, special BIOS versions with support for new chips will receive motherboards from ASUS, Biostar, and MSI. Earlier it was also reported that the compatibility of boards on AMD X470 and B450 with Ryzen 5000 processors were provided by Gigabyte.
