ASUS and MSI Unveil Radeon RX 6800 XT and RX 6800 Reference Graphics Cards

There is exactly one week left before the start of sales of Radeon RX 6800 series graphics accelerators, so ASUS and MSI presented their reference versions of the Radeon RX 6800 and Radeon RX 6800 XT models based on the new AMD RDNA 2 architecture.

Unlike the same companies Biostar and Gigabyte, which used branded stickers in their reference versions, ASUS and MSI did not make any changes to the appearance of video card cooling systems. The technical characteristics of the new products also remained unchanged in comparison with the wishes of AMD.

The Radeon RX 6800 XT is based on a Navi 21 XT GPU with 72 execution units and 4608 stream processors. The video card is equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 video memory and 128 MB of fast buffer memory Infinity Cache.

The graphics chip of the Radeon RX 6800 XT model runs at 2250 MHz in game mode. The maximum theoretical performance of the video card is 20.7 teraflops.

The Radeon RX 6800 variant is based on the Navi 21 XL processor with 60 execution units and 3840 stream processors. In-game mode, the GPU frequency is declared at 2105 MHz. The card is equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 video memory.

The theoretical performance of the Radeon RX 6800 model is 16.2 teraflops.

The Radeon RX 6800 series graphics cards will go on sale on November 18. The MSRP for the regular model is $ 579, the XT variant is priced at $ 649. About a week after the release of the reference variants, non-reference variants of these models from AMD partners should appear in the sale.
