ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti TUF Gaming will receive a large cooling system with three fans

Next week, NVIDIA is going to present a junior model of the GeForce RTX 30xx series, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, so leaks related to non-standard versions of this graphics accelerator are increasingly appearing on the Web. This time, the VideoCardz resource has at its disposal the images of the model performed by TUF Gaming from ASUS.

Apparently, the new product will receive exactly the same cooling system that is used by the older model GeForce RTX 3070 TUF Gaming. It consists of a massive heatsink and uses three fans. Thanks to this, the novelty will occupy 2.5 expansion slots in the PC case.

According to the source, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti TUF Gaming is built on the same PCB as the more powerful model. The relationship is also indicated by the GA104 GPU, which serves as the basis for both graphics accelerators. However, the younger version uses the younger modification of this chip, so it has only 4864 CUDA cores, which is 1024 less than the more powerful GeForce RTX 3070. By the way, this is the difference in power consumption. If for the older model it is declared at 220 W, then for the younger one this figure is 200 W. In addition, unlike the RTX 3070 TUF Gaming, the younger version is equipped with only one 8-pin auxiliary power connector instead of two.

NVIDIA will officially launch the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti on December 2nd. The factory overclocked version of the ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti TUF Gaming OC is likely to be priced higher than the estimated $ 399 for the reference version. At the same time, the option without factory overclocking may be priced closer to the estimated recommended cost.
