ASUS Introduces RT-AX68U Wi-Fi 6 and Mesh Router
ASUS has prepared the RT-AX68U router for release, which complies with the Wi-Fi 6 standard, also known as 802.11ax. The novelty is intended for use in home and office conditions.
The router supports 2.4 and 5 GHz frequency bands. The declared bandwidth of the wireless network reaches 2700 Mbps. In addition to 802.11ax, compatibility with 802.11a / b / g / n / ac standards is provided.
The device is based on a processor with two computing cores operating at a clock frequency of up to 1.8 GHz. The volume of RAM is 512 MB, built-in flash memory is 256 MB.
The design provides for the presence of three external antennas. There are one Gigabit WAN port and four Gigabit LAN ports. In addition, there are USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports.
The router can be used as part of ASUS AiMesh mesh wireless networks with a large coverage area. Implemented OFDMA technology (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access).
Unfortunately, it is not specified when and at what price the ASUS RT-AX68U router will go on sale.
