ASUS names ZenBook 14 one of the world’s thinnest 14 “AMD notebooks

ASUS has announced the new ZenBook 14 (Model UM425QA) laptop: a device designed for everyday tasks, perfect for users who travel a lot and often work outside the office or home.

The developer calls the novelty one of the world’s thinnest 14-inch notebooks on the AMD hardware platform. The laptop is enclosed in a body with a thickness of only 14.3 mm. The maximum configuration uses a Ryzen 7 5800H processor with a clock speed of up to 3.2 GHz. The discrete accelerator NVIDIA GeForce MX450 is busy with graphics processing.

The display has a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels (Full HD) and 100% sRGB colour space. The screen occupies approximately 90% of the lid area.

In the arsenal of the laptop – up to 16 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 solid-state drive with a capacity of 512 GB, Wi-Fi 6 wireless adapter, Harman / Kardon audio system, USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A interfaces, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C and HDMI 2.0b.

The design includes a robust ErgoLift swivel mount and a full-width backlit keyboard for comfortable typing. The claimed battery life on a single charge of the battery reaches 16 hours.

The software platform Windows 10 is used. The possibility of biometric authentication in the system using face recognition technology is mentioned. The price has not been specified.
