ASUS reveals an updated ROG Zephyrus S17 gaming laptop with a pop-up keyboard
The closer the announcement of high-performance mobile Intel Tiger Lake-H45 processors, the more actively laptop manufacturers begin to show their future novelties based on them. The Taiwanese company ASUS has shared several images of the upcoming updated laptop model ROG Zephyrus S17, which will receive new processors.
From the published short teaser on the company’s Twitter page, it becomes clear that the manufacturer in the updated model of the 17-inch laptop has seriously worked on the cooling system. One of the features of the novelty is an unusual keyboard. Its upper part raises a few sentiments along with the opening of the laptop lid.
This allows more fresh air to flow to the laptop’s components for cooling. The company applied a similar approach back in the Zephyrus Duo laptop model. However, instead of a keyboard, a special OLED panel rises there along with the laptop lid.
In the new generation of ROG Zephyrus S17, the company has changed the very location of the keyboard assembly. In its current version, it is located, like in the Zephyrus Duo – where the user is usually used to putting his wrist. For a gaming laptop, this approach is not comfortable. In the new ROG Zephyrus S17, the manufacturer revised this issue by moving the keyboard unit higher.
ASUS has scheduled a special event on May 11 to talk about upcoming gaming laptops. It will take place shortly after Intel officially unveils the 11th generation Core (Tiger Lake-H) mobile processors for powerful gaming laptops.
