Later Sony will release software update
Yesterday we once again made sure that the PlayStation 5 will not please with the available volume of the native SSD, although this will not be critical for everyone.
Bad news for active gamers who buy PlayStation 5. At first, the internal storage will not be expandable
But for those for whom 667 GB is still not enough, there was not the most joyful news. First, you can install PS4 games on an external USB drive, but not PS5 games.
Secondly, and this is more important, although the PS5 allows you to install a regular M.2 SSD as an additional one directly inside the console, as it turned out, this feature will be blocked at the start. More precisely, you can, of course, install the drive, but nothing will work. Sony told the source that this feature will be activated later with some kind of software update. It is unclear when this will happen, as it is unclear why Sony will initially block the feature. Perhaps Sony needs time to test and certify various drives so that users do not have any problems.
