Bang & Olufsen Launches Active Noise Canceling Beoplay Portal Headset for Xbox at Console Price
Microsoft has launched the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Portal Wireless Headphones for Xbox for immersive surround sound. The novelty is estimated at approximately $ 500.
The device uses 40mm, electrodynamic drivers with neodymium magnets. The declared range of reproducible frequencies extends from 20 to 22,000 Hz.
It is noted that the headset is tuned by the best Bang & Olufsen speakers and is equipped with Dolby Atmos headphone technology, which provides an immersive and realistic gaming experience on Xbox and computer platforms.
The signal can be received via Xbox Wireless 2.4GHz or Bluetooth 5.1 technology. Besides, there is a standard 3.5mm audio jack for a wired connection.
The novelty has received an active noise cancellation system. Simultaneously, the directional microphone array isolates and amplifies the user’s voice by suppressing background noise and creating a virtual microphone mast that eliminates the need for a traditional physical mast for gaming headsets.
The 1200 mAh battery provides up to 12 hours of battery life when using Xbox Wireless, Bluetooth, and Active Noise Cancellation, or up to 24 hours when using only Bluetooth and Active Noise Cancellation. Recharging is carried out via the USB Type-C connector: it takes about three hours to replenish the energy reserve.
