Ursa Mini Pro 12K camera is based on a Super 35 sensor with 12288 × 6480 pixels and 15 stops of dynamic range, which also allows shooting RAW video in 8K resolution at 110 fps and 4K Super 16 at 220 fps. A similar sensor is installed in the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, designed to shoot video with a resolution of up to 4K.

The new camera uses the PL mount, which is compatible with a wide range of high-quality movie lenses and can be replaced with Canon EF and Nikon F mounts. Other features include built-in ND filters, dual CFast and SD / UHS-II slots, and a SuperSpeed USB expansion port -C 3.1 Gen 2 for faster data transfer to external solid-state drives.

Blackmagic says the extra pixels will help you get cleaner images in 8K or 4K with downsampling and also allow you to crop images in post-production without losing quality. Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve software can already be used to edit 12K frames, and the compression function allows you to store 4K, 6K and 8K versions of your video at the same time.

The camera comes with DaVinci Resolve Studio for editing, grading, and applying visual effects.

The cost of the Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro 12K camera is $ 9995.
