Bloober Team is not for sale: the studio said it was at odds with its strategy
Bloober Team has often been at the center of rumors that it will be acquired by one or another company: in the summer of 2020, Bankier reported that the Polish studio was preparing for expansion or takeover. But now it became clear to what exactly. Bloober Team released an official statement, in which it bluntly said: the studio is currently not for sale.
“The company has decided not to continue negotiations with potential financial and industry investors interested in acquiring a controlling stake in the company due to the high risk of losing its core strategic objectives,” Bloober Team said in a statement to Bankier. ” At this stage, it will be incompatible with the organizational culture and will significantly limit the potential for growth in the company’s value in the coming years, especially taking into account its ongoing and planned projects. “
The Bloober Team Board is currently considering investing in companies to increase production and market opportunities. This is not surprising since the studio quickly recouped its latest game’s development costs, the paranormal horror film The Medium. And recent rumors suggest that the Bloober Team may be among the developers of the new part of Silent Hill.
