Chromebooks now have a Phone Hub function for convenient work with smartphones on Android

Google has released a major update for computers running the Chrome OS operating system. This is primarily about improving compatibility with smartphones based on Android.

In particular, a set of Phone Hub tools has been implemented. It allows you to check your smartphone’s battery status on a computer running Chrome OS, respond to messages, and use your mobile device as a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Nearby Share will also be activated in the coming months. It will allow you to exchange files between smartphones, Chromebooks, and various devices based on Chrome OS.

Mentioned new Screen Capture features in the Quick Settings menu. It will allow you to take screenshots and subsequently get quick access to them.

Among other things, improvements to the clipboard and virtual desktops are mentioned.

Google notes that about 50 laptop computers with the operating system Chrome OS will debut on the market during the current year. Such devices will be in demand in the educational sphere, as well as in the corporate segment.
