Classic RPG Shooter Strife Coming to Nintendo Switch

Nightdive Studios has announced that it will release the RPG shooter Strife: Veteran Edition on Nintendo Switch. This is a 1996 reissue of a Doom game developed by Rogue Entertainment.

Strife: Veteran Edition supports high definition, widescreen, and vertical sync. The updated version offers dynamic lighting, map markers, and the Grab the Bowl multiplayer mode that was never added to the original game. The re-release is available on PC from December 2014.

The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world that has been captured by a dark cult. As a soldier of the resistance forces, you must put an end to the rule of villains. In Strife, you can choose a Spy, Assassin, Warrior, or Thief – each of the classes has unique characteristics.

The world of the game is represented by 28 interconnected levels, covering over 500 km 2. Explore medieval cities and industrial complexes and uncover the planet’s darkest secrets. It is noteworthy that in Strife there are not only skirmishes but also dialogues.

No release date has been announced for Nintendo Switch.
