Console versions of Cyberpunk 2077 didn’t make it to the top 10 worst games of 2020 according to Metacritic
The aggregator Metacritic began summing up the results of the outgoing year: this time, the focus was on the ten worst games released from January 1 to December 31, 2020, according to the representatives of the specialized press.
It is worth noting that the top was not the arithmetic average of the ratings of all versions of projects, but publications for specific platforms, which for one reason or another received the lowest ratings.
In 2020, the competition turned out to be tough: for example, none of the critically – smashed console editions of the action RPG Cyberpunk 2077 could break into the top ten.
However, at least a few relatively high-profile names in the top 10 still got: the remake of shooter XIII was in the second line of the rating, and Fast & Furious Crossroads reached the fourth.
The top ten worst games of 2020 according to critics (the rating is current as of December 15) is as follows:
- Tiny Racer for Switch – 29 out of 100%;
- XIII for Xbox One – 32%;
- Dawn of Fear for PS4 – 33%;
- Fast & Furious Crossroads for PC – 34%;
- Arc of Alchemist for Switch – 36%;
- Remothered: Broken Porcelain for PC – 39%;
- Tamarin for PS4 – 40%;
- Street Power Soccer for PS4 – 41%;
- Greenlight for Switch – 42%;
- The Elder Scrolls: Blades for Switch – 42%.The first place in the ranking was awarded to the arcade racing game Tiny Racer. Even a tiny price (only $ 10) did not save the creation of Ice Torch Interactive from its sad title: poor balance, controversial physics, inconvenient controls and complete lack of ideas did their job.
In the coming days, a list of the best games of the outgoing year is expected to appear on the Metacritic website: according to preliminary information, Persona 5 Royal received the highest rating in 2020 – 95%.
