With the release on PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5 early next month, Nioh 2 will lose its status as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, but, as it turned out, it will acquire new features – in particular, nioh 2 crossplay.

According to Yasuda, cross-platform multiplayer will be available only to owners of the game on PS4 and PS5, while console users will not be able to play with buyers of the PC version.

Among other things, Yasuda recalled that, if desired, the owners of the edition of Nioh 2 for PlayStation 4 will be able to transfer their save and progress to the new console Sony.

Nioh 2 was released in March 2020 on PS4, and on February 5, 2021, as part of the full edition, it will reach PC (Steam) and PS5. Nioh’s remaster will also premiere on the new Sony console on that date.

The PS5 edition will differ from the original Nioh 2 with support for 4K resolution and 120fps, as well as significantly faster downloads than on the previous generation console.

Previously, publisher Koei Tecmo and development studio Team Ninja presented a trailer for the technical features of the PC version of Nioh 2. The game will support 4K, HDR, ultra-wide monitors, 144 Hz screens, 60 and 120 frames / s.
