The video is a cut of different moments from Ovechkin’s career: selected episodes were even reflected in the game. Probably, the developers recreated some of the athlete’s movements in NHL 21. The visuals are accompanied by the hockey player’s comments about his passion for the game.

The project is already available for pre-order on PS Store and Microsoft Store. On PS4, the standard edition will cost 4,899 rubles, and on Xbox One – $ 59.99. Buyers of the extended and full editions will have access to the simulator three days earlier than owners of the basic version.

At the end of July, Electronic Arts announced its refusal to develop an improved edition of the simulator for the PS5 and Xbox Series X. The company attributed this to “the desire to focus on introducing new features instead of wasting resources on porting the game to a new generation of consoles .” Despite this, the game will be available on future consoles thanks to the backward compatibility system.
