“We have resolved a misunderstanding over the possible removal of Twitter from the App Store”

Elon Musk and Tim Cook met and “resolved a misunderstanding” about the Twitter app for iOS, as the billionaire announced on his page on the corresponding social network.

Good conversation. Among other things, we have resolved a misunderstanding regarding the possible removal of Twitter from the App Store. Tim made it clear that Apple never thought about it.

Musk never explained what the original source of Apple’s problem with the Twitter app was. But Twitter’s former head of trust and safety said that Apple has noted various problems in the app review process in the past.

At the beginning of the week, Elon Musk left a series of messages stating that relations between Twitter and Apple have deteriorated. He stated that Apple has practically stopped buying ads on Twitter and asked: “What’s going on, Tim Cook?”. He later reported that Apple had threatened to remove the Twitter app from its App Store without explanation.
